My Time in Japan (part 5)

Friday, July 11th, 2008. This day was my 4th day in Japan. At this day, we went to Yamagata Commercial High School in the morning. We had departed from hotel at about 8.20 am, and at 8.30 am we arrived in Yamagata Commercial High School. Then we met the teacher who teach in the school. We devided into two groups, and I joined with A group. After that we came into the class and we met the student who were studying there, then they introduced themself one by one.

Yoga, Gobel and I were accompanied by three japanese students and they guided us around the school. First, we went to the classroom. Oh ya, school in japan was different with in indonesia. In japan, we had to changed our shoes when we come in to the building with sandals that was prepared by the school in the locker. We back again to the classroom. In the classroom we can find a small lectern in front of the class. In the classroom we gave all of them little gift that we bought from Indonesia, they looked so happy with our little gift. After that we went to sport facilities, oh gosh, it was very large indoor stadium. There were basketball , badminton and volley ball court in one indoor stadium. I had never found like that in many school in Indonesia. I played basket ball for a momment. And then we were studying to write kanji, it called shodo. It was so difficult because we had to write in special paper with big brush, it was no problem if we wrote with pencil or ballpoint. Students in the shodo class were help us to write kanji. Then the sensei was scoring our work, my work got a good score..hahahhaha..:D

After that, we had free time to take a rest for a momment. Then, after took a rest we had lunch in canteen. The food inn canteen was so oishii desu. Rindo, Yoga, Gobel and I had added our food until two times because it was so delicious. After had lunch, my group went into the tea ceremony. We studied to make japanese green tea and we had drank the tea. The japanese green tea was totally different with many tea in Indonesia. It was very green like the colour of lio lake behind sman 1 depok..:p. And if we smelled the tea, it was so bad and the taste was bitter but when we had swallowed it, it was so warm in our body. This tea was good for our health. Then after had tea ceremony, we went into the class again. We had oral communication with student in the class.

In this school was the first time I met Mari Sasahara. She was my japanese friend who still keep in touch with me until this time beside my host family.
